Uranus in 10th House is an original thinker. He loves innovation and high-tech gadgets. This rare species of a worker will always come up with fresh, new ideas in his field of work. He does not like traditional jobs, but can be counted on to innovate ideas in order to improve on the old way of doing things. His ability to think out of the box can sometimes irritate his less creative co-workers or boss, which is why he is better off being his own boss and working alone. He can't stand people checking on him while working, so he needs "space" to do his work, and "alone time" to think things over. The "eureka" moment when he comes up with new ideas is very true for this type of person. 

Professions that are perfect for him include research scientist, techie, internet whiz, hacker, startup genius, programmer, software engineer, gadget geek, entrepreneur, cyber athlete, etc. Any career that requires him working with cutting-edge technology will allow him to thrive. In fact, I know a guy born with this placement who works as a scientist and builds his own PC from spare parts :) There is a drawback to this position, though. Uranus is an unstable and erratic planet. The individual is restless and will desire to change jobs every now and then. There will be at least ONE critical moment in his life where he decides to switch career path out of the blue.      

The Ascendant, The Self and Love

The Ascendant is the mask that you wear and show to the outside world. It is a portrayal or representation of yourself that others see around you. The Ascendant is the image of yourself that you project to the external world.  It is everything from the way you walk, talk, laugh, eat, sit, breathe, etc. However, the significance of the Ascendant goes beyond that of a mere mask. The Ascendant (AC) begins at the cusp of the First House in your natal chart. It is also called the Rising Sign. Since it is a material manifestation of yourself, it represents your first contact with the world as a baby. When a newborn baby first takes a breath outside his mother's womb, the AC energies are absorbed by the child's body. The AC governs your looks, habits, self-expressions, etc. This is a natural process, and a person will express himself in such a way that matches his AC sign without realizing that they are doing it. Most people are not aware of their AC. As such, the give off wrong messages to the outside world. For example, a woman with Aries AC may come off as a tough, aggressive tomboy to strangers she meet. However, only her close friends and relatives will know that she is in fact, a soft lady at heart (Moon in Pisces) and a talented artist (Sun in Taurus). The AC mask, in short, creates a protective shell which often misrepresents the individual to the rest of society. 

Another notorious aspect of the AC is that it governs sexual attraction. Surprised? Sexuality, after all, is something very physical and has to do with your body. The AC is the strongest factor determining attraction, instant chemistry or love at first sight since it gravitates towards individuals that matches the biological rhythms of your body. The AC in fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sag) have an active, energetic and extroverted image. They are instantly attracted to fiery type of partners. The example above shows a Leo AC woman who goes for the active, "showy", sporty type of man who probably likes children and animals. Alternatively, a Leo AC may also go after rich partners. Lovely Libra: Portrait of My Niece

Something wonderful happened in the year 2014 - my niece was born. She has one of the most auspicious natal charts I have seen. Looking at her chart, the positive energy just leaped out at me - wrapping me with its warmth. Bearing in mind the Asian custom of not spilling the beans before its time, I shall attempt to give a brief and discreet analysis.

SUN, MOON & MERCURY in LIBRA

My niece, in short, is the poster girl for Libra. With 3 planets falling in the sign of Libra, she is physically attractive (but not the thin type - Venus is fleshy).
