Dealing with people at work

Mars in 10th indicates the individual experiences his career as a battlefield. He has to deal with quarrels, competitions and rivalry at workplace, even from his boss or higher ups. Oftentimes he will encounter extreme politics at his workplace. He will have fiery confrontations with his immediate superior. Colleagues view him as a rival. His attitude is viewed as challenging authority by nature, and his competency at work is regarded with jealousy. People will always try to compare themselves with him. He might be a victim of political sabotaging and backstabbing from colleagues. 

The environment of his work is energetic and fast-phased. Constant action is required. He sometimes feel like he needs to navigate through landmines at his workplace. The type of profession which suits him are the adrenaline-boosting ones such as sports, military, athletics, gaming, entrepreneurship, administration, and jobs requiring technical skills like engineering. Mars is also quite blunt and forthright at work. This increases the chances of them accidentally offending others. They are not usually cunning. What you see is what you get.

Mars in 10th is fine with any job as long as it is competitive and fast-paced. He needs to have the incentive of winning in order to keep him motivated in the job. Do not get a passive desk job with this one. This position often indicates leadership abilities of some sort, and the ability to overcome challenges. 

The Ascendant, The Self and Love

The Ascendant is the mask that you wear and show to the outside world. It is a portrayal or representation of yourself that others see around you. The Ascendant (AC) begins at the cusp of the First House in your natal chart. It is also called the Rising Sign. Since it is a material manifestation of yourself, it represents your first contact with the world as a baby. When a newborn baby first takes a breath outside his mother's womb, the AC energies are absorbed by the child's body. The AC governs your looks, habits, self-expressions, etc. This is a natural process, and a person will express himself in such a way that matches his AC sign without realizing that they are doing it. Most people are not aware of their AC. As such, the give off wrong messages to the outside world. For example, a woman with Aries AC may come off as a tough, aggressive tomboy to strangers she meet. However, only her close friends and relatives will know that she is in fact, a soft lady at heart (Moon in Pisces) and a talented artist (Sun in Taurus). The AC mask, in short, creates a protective shell which often misrepresents the individual to the rest of society. 

Another notorious aspect of the AC is that it governs sexual attraction. Surprised? Sexuality, after all, is something very physical and has to do with your body. Ascendant in Fire 

The AC in fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sag) have an active, energetic and extroverted image. They are instantly attracted to fiery type of partners. The example above shows a Leo AC woman who goes for the active, "showy", sporty type of man who probably likes children and animals. Alternatively, a Leo AC may also go after rich partners. The whole idea is to get a partner that she can be proud of so she can shine in his glory. If your partner's Venus falls into your First House, you can call it a love-at-first-sight scenario. Lovely Libra: Portrait of My Niece

Something wonderful happened in the year 2014 - my niece was born. She has one of the most auspicious natal charts I have seen. Looking at her chart, the positive energy just leaped out at me - wrapping me with its warmth. Bearing in mind the Asian custom of not spilling the beans before its time, I shall attempt to give a brief and discreet analysis.

SUN, MOON & MERCURY in LIBRA

My niece, in short, is the poster girl for Libra. With 3 planets falling in the sign of Libra, she is physically attractive (but not the thin type - Venus is fleshy). But a typical Botticelli babe she is not, for she has a Sagittarius Ascendant, which gives strong legs, athletic limbs. Being trim and fit is a must with Sag. I am thinking a shapely, symmetrical body type - like a model. She will also be very health-conscious. Fashion and style flows effortlessly.

Moon-Mars: Sexually-frustrated Man

Moon square Mars in a man's chart often indicates sexual frustration of some kind. Ancient astrology texts describe these men as "irritable" and "angry." But why irritable?
