Lovely Libra: Portrait of My Niece

Something wonderful happened in the year 2014 - my niece was born. She has one of the most auspicious natal charts I have seen. Looking at her chart, the positive energy just leaped out at me - wrapping me with its warmth. Bearing in mind the Asian custom of not spilling the beans before its time, I shall attempt to give a brief and discreet analysis.

SUN, MOON & MERCURY in LIBRA

My niece, in short, is the poster girl for Libra. With 3 planets falling in the sign of Libra, she is physically attractive (but not the thin type - Venus is fleshy). But a typical Botticelli babe she is not, for she has a Sagittarius Ascendant, which gives strong legs, athletic limbs. Being trim and fit is a must with Sag. I am thinking a shapely, symmetrical body type - like a model. She will also be very health-conscious. Fashion and style flows effortlessly.

Look out for that sweet dimpled smile. Yes, you read that right. Dimples. The appearance of dimples on either the face or knees is a Venus trademark. Traditional astrology upholds Libra as the original "It Girl." Check out the list of famous Libran celebrities below:

Of Gods and Planets: Days of the Week.

One little known aspect in astrology is the rulership of planets over the days of the week. Each planet is identified with a god, and each god in return, controls a particular day of the week. There are 7 days in a week, and the day of your birth will also influence your character. I can't help noticing that different religions venerate a certain day of the week. The Muslims, for example, venerate Fridays, while the Christians worship on Sundays. The Jews treat Saturdays as their Sabbath, while the Hindus set aside Thursdays as their holy day. What is the story behind these days?

SUNDAY

Sunday is named after the Sun. The ancients considered Horus-Ra, Helios or Sol as the solar god. Romans called the Sun as "Sol Invictus", or the Invincible Sun. He is said to be the King, and presided over royalty. The Augustus emperor was depicted as wearing a crown radiating with sunlight. Sol was often compared to Jesus Christ. Early Christians borrowed some pagan customs to include Sunday as the day Christ rose from his grave and victory over darkness. Jesus is often called the "King of Kings." Coincidentally, the birthday of Sol falls on 25th December, which is also the nativity of Jesus. Today, Christians go to church on Sundays.

If you are born on Sunday, congratulations! You can rise high in society and command attention from others. You have a need to "shine" in the limelight. Cheerful and charismatic, you are the life of the party. You are blessed with outstanding leadership qualities. You do well in positions of authority. However, you do not like to share. Monday is named after the Moon. Monday is associated with mothers, and the zodiac Cancer. It is an emotional day associated with mood swings and depression. Women born on Mondays are said to make good mothers and wives - homemakers. 

If you are born on Monday, you are emotional and nurturing to others. You can protect younger people and your juniors look up to you. You love food, and you spend time eating or feeding others. Thus, the tendency to be fleshy and put on weight. However, you can be moody and susceptible to depression. You react emotionally to issues. Tuesday is ruled by Mars, god of war. The Koreans and Japanese referred to Tuesday as "fire day" and is symbolised by the colour red. This is a day of action, combat, and victory. Historically, more military campaigns and revolutions have taken place on Tuesdays than any other day. Intensely fierce by nature, the day is associated with Aries and Scorpio. A child born on Tuesday is said to be active and full of action. He or she always has a plan of attack in any situation. They are problem-solvers and can be good generals, leading an army. Unfortunately, some cultures like the Greeks and Spanish considered Tuesday to be unlucky (due to its connection to violence).

Imported to Roman culture, he became identified as Mercury, god of learning and traveling. He presides over the mind and mental aptitude. Children born on Wednesday are said to be intelligent, quick-thinking but somewhat mentally unstable (due to Woden's connection to madness). Intellectual by nature, these kids are curious and have a thirst for knowledge. They will have Gemini and Virgo traits - eloquent, witty and good with words. They are articulate, but flirtatious.

If you are born on Wednesday, you have the gift of gab. Words and writings are your forte. Intelligent and cunning, you learn quickly. You will succeed in any intellectual pursuit. He is patron of governments, temples, and priests. As giver of law, he guards the sovereignty of the state and the Roman's right to rule. He is pretty much the good guy, in a fatherly kind of way. Thursday is generally considered to be an auspicious day. Muslims regard it as holy while Christians use it to celebrate Thanksgiving Day. The Hindus dedicate Thurday to Lord Brihaspati (Jupiter), the guru of gods. The sign Sagittarius and Pisces is identified with Thursday.

If you are born on Thursday, you are said to be lucky. You are jovial, positive and upbeat. You are generous to others. One prominent thing that stuck out is your love for traveling and adventure.You enjoy learning foreign cultures and can be well-traveled. You do well in universities and places of worship. There is a darker aspect to Venus that is rarely discussed. She is identified as Lucifer, the morning star (a.k.a the Devil in the Bible) and is therefore considered as having demonic qualities. The Hindus regard Venus as the guru of the ashuras, or demon race. Christians regard Friday the Thirteenth as unlucky since Jesus was crucified on a Friday. However, this differs across cultures. Muslims venerate Friday as a holy day of worship and prayers.

He teaches you a lesson in life by giving you obstacles, trials and tribulations. He is one tough badass demon overlord, but you gotta love him! Without Saturn, you will never grow wiser. Without Saturn, you will never learn to take responsibilities. Saturn is seriousness, maturity and hard work. He rules the sign Capricorn and Aquarius. The Jews venerate Saturday as their holy day of rest.

Moon-Pluto: Dominatrix Wife

Moon-Pluto people are kinky and pervy, first and foremost. They have an insatiable hunger within them that cannot be satisfied. Men and women with Moon-Pluto (similar to Scorpio Moon) in their chart has an obsessive need for sex. All they crave is sex, sex and sex. Once you get them to bed, there's this ferocious beast waiting to rip you apart. They are also very seductive. I believe "magnetic" and "alluring" are the words to describe them.

The root of this problem comes from childhood, specifically, from the mother (Moon). He may have perceived his mother as having rejected or ignored his neediness as a child. She could be the aggressive type of mom, the action-oriented mom who did not nurture him emotionally. He may get into frequent fights with her. Some male clients with this placement even claim that their mom was violent. The seeds of anger towards women have been sown in boyhood, which blossoms into marital discord in adulthood.

The Moon is the most important planet in classical astrology. If you know absolutely nothing about astrology, it helps that you only know about the Moon and its position in your natal chart. It is essential for you to know what type of Moon you have, it's position & condition in your natal chart to gain self-awareness of your relationship patterns. If you have been having a string of destructive or failed relationships, perhaps it is time to look at your Moon.

Air is a symbol of the mind. Intelligence is the hallmark of airy people. They live in their minds, in the world of ideas. Imagination is their strong point. They are gifted with articulate, sharp tongues and can express themselves well. Witty and humorous, they love to communicate and excel in delivering charming, persuasive speech. The world's best lawyers, politicians and public speakers have heavy air element in their chart. If you don't have air, you have no soft skills. You can't speak or write persuasively. Sex style: Pisces makes obedient little sex slaves who will please you unconditionally. Pisces is easily seduced and offers little resistance to temptation. They can be led astray into promiscuity and all sorts of perversions. As a rule of thumb, they are good in bed.  This is because they can read instinctively what their partner wants (like a psychic) and projects these fantasies on themselves. They will let you dominate them in bed. Scorpios make the best sex partners for Pisces. Escapists by nature, the Pisces may enhance their erotic experience with drugs and booze. They are the Kings of mental masturbation. The mind is a devil’s workshop. Aquarians get turned on by ideas.
